How Will the COVID-19 Coronavirus Affect TearUp Events?

TearUp Event Status

At this time it looks like New York State will be under strict lockdown of all but essential services for some times, especially considering this crisis continues to escalate.

TearUp the Finger Lakes May 7-10, 2020: CANCELLED

TearUp the Adirondacks June 11-15, 2020: CANCELLED

TearDown the Adirondacks Oct 1-4, 2020: HOPEFUL THAT THIS EVENT WILL PROCEED AS SCHEDULED!

For any event that is cancelled you do not have to do anything! In the likely event that New York State continues to expand the campground closure window into the future Reserve America will automatically be cancelling your reservation, refunding your camping fees and emailing a notification of cancellation.

From New Your State Parks and the DEC

Early Season Camping: Due to the global health crisis, all campgrounds, cabins, and cottages are CLOSED to overnight visitation through May 31. All visitors with reservations will be issued a full refund. We ask for your patience as refunds are processed.

Camping Reservations: New York State has suspended all new camping, cabin and cottage reservations for the 2020 season until further notice. We are assessing campground status on a daily basis. If you've made a reservation for the season beginning June 1, and we determine your campground is safe to open, your reservation will be honored. However, visitors who wish to cancel an existing reservation may do so and receive a full refund. Thank you for your patience as we work to protect the safety of our visitors and staff.

From Reserve America

If your ReserveAmerica.com reservation is impacted by a park closure you do not need to do anything. Your refund will automatically be returned to the credit card used to make the payment and you will receive an email notification of the cancellation.

If your reservation is for a location that is allowing transfers, you will receive an email notification advising you of the steps you should take.
